Melissa Metzger began working at BAYarts in 2016 as an assistant and instructor for our children’s classes and camps. Some of her favorite experiences as a student herself were taking classes at the Cleveland Institute of Art and studying plein air painting in Giverny, France. For Melissa, seeing a child’s eyes light up at their own artwork is very fulfilling. She believes art brings confidence, creative outlets and independence to children. Melissa enjoys many mediums and styles including watercolor illustrations, drawing and hand lettering, beading, screen printing, metal stamping and silver clay. Melissa lives in Lakewood with her husband and three children and is always looking for a creative way to connect with those around her.
