Join us for a transformative weekend designed specifically for women seeking to rejuvenate their mind, body, and spirit.
Nestled in the serene natural setting of the Metroparks Huntington Reservation, this retreat offers a blend of creative workshops, yoga, and nature walks that will inspire creativity and inner peace. Early bird registration opens January 9 at 9 am for a special price of $300.
Our retreat features the following workshops spread out over two days:
Trash to Treasure: A Junk Journaling Workshop with Tara Tonsetic
Ready to turn that pile of paper scraps, forgotten photos, and random bits you’ve been hoarding into something amazing? Come learn how to embrace the “junk” and create a truly unique one-of-a-kind art piece that tells a story.
Mixed Media Collage with Meri Ruble
Explore your inner self through mixed media collage. Using fabric, paper, found images and pressed flowers, you’ll create a work of art that reflects your true self. Participants will enjoy a demonstration and guidance as we build meaningful artwork.
Embroidered Self Portrait with Audra Costello
We’ll turn thread into personality and fabric into a mirror. Using embroidery stitches and your photo transferred to fabric, participants will create a playful self portrait that celebrates quirks, expressions, and happy imperfections. Come experiment, laugh at tangled threads, and leave with a stitched version of you that’s totally unique.
Creative Writing with Susan Mangan
Rather than waiting for inspiration to manifest, actively seek your own inner voice. Writers will engage in creative writing activities that will unfold as personal narrative, prose, memoir, and poetry take shape. Writers will walk away with the gift of words and a new understanding of how to release their own unique creative voice.
Drawing and Watercolor with Angela Oster
Join Angela for an immersive exploration of the creative process through drawing and watercolor. We’ll delve into the nature of image and memory in a supportive, welcoming environment. Drawing inspiration from innovative approaches to creativity, we’ll work through a playful, hybrid experience that combines memoir, visual art making and exploration.
Mug Making with Megan Daloz
Get your hands muddy and your creativity flowing. In this workshop, you’ll shape, sculpt, and design your very own mug from clay. Whether it’s perfectly round or charmingly wonky, your mug will be truly unique-just like your morning routine.
Silver Clay Charm with Melissa Metzger
Using precious metal clay, you’ll create your own bespoke sterling silver charm unlike any other. Learn how to shape, mold, add detail then try your hand at torch firing and polishing to bring out the shine. Add a jump ring and chain and wear your artwork home! To keep the aesthetics going you’ll be given time to make a foam stamp and create a small personalized bandana.
