Throughout Dan Forst’s high school and art school years, he was always inspired by impressionist art and especially the work of the Impressionist Artist Claude Monet. Forst’s love of flowers began in his youth when he raised roses among other flowers and was a member and exhibitor with a local Rose Society. At the beginning of the Pandemic Forst felt the need to use his creative talent and start painting again to stem the daily boredom. His painting skills were dormant for the past sixty years due to work demands as an American Greetings Executive, and family needs. Forst found comfort and purpose in holding the brush again. This process results in the body of work in this show consisting of floral studies.
