Crochet is a wonderful handcraft to learn and be creative with. Join us in the art studio and learn the basic stitches and how to read a pattern, learn the foundation and work your way up to Amigurumi stuffed toys!

This is an after school class that will allow your teen to work and play in clay without the pressure of school. It’s a wonderful chance to socialize while learning hand building, wedging, wheel throwing and exciting glazing techniques and combinations, giving them an opportunity to expand their skills, build creativity and find their voice.

For students with little to no experience. Perhaps you have never taken a ceramics class, or you have but you want a refresher course. In this class we will learn the basics of wheel thrown and hand built ceramics, from wedging to glazing. Let us help you start on your clay journey! Classroom is wheelchair accessible.

Start from scratch as you learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing!  Assignments are designed to encourage students to expand their skill level in pottery making. Decorating and glazing techniques will be explored and returning students are always welcome in this creative community! The classroom is wheelchair accessible.

Bijouterie is the French word for ‘jewelry,’ and in this fun evening class, instructor Brenda Glasure will guide students in making a pair of sparkling earrings on French earwires. Participants will learn techniques such as shaping, hammering, stamping or texturing, sanding, cupping, and attaching their earrings. Bring friends or family and enjoy a creative night together. All materials and safety gear are provided.

Join instructor Julie Orndorff to create a personalized, hand-bound book using one of the most ancient stitching techniques. Participants can design the front and inside covers of their lined ‘secret keeper,’ filling it with ideas, dreams, thoughts, and doodles. This engaging workshop encourages creativity and self-expression. All materials are provided.

Dive into your creativity using air dry clay and paper clay to create whimsical projects. This class will include basic handbuilding with air dry clay, molding with paper clay, and a basic sculpture lesson. Each artist will learn and test new skills and then create colorful works in a friendly and collaborative classroom.

Give life to leftover yarn! This playful crochet series focuses on upcycling, scrap busting, and creative freeform projects that make the most of what’s already in your stash. Transform your yarn odds and ends into colorful baskets. You’ll learn how to blend colors and textures for unique storage pieces that are both practical and fun. We will also learn how to turn basic granny squares into fun blankets and garments. Learn to join as you go with new techniques. Learn to embellish existing garments with freeform crochet or embroidery techniques.

Transform heavy aluminum into beautiful holiday ornaments. These decorations might just stay up year-round! Young artists will safely learn to use hand tools for metal embossing techniques. Texture, pattern, symmetry, and low-relief will be explored. Each participant will create two ornaments plus a texture sampler to take home.

Join instructor Brenda Glasure to create a stylish layering bracelet—perfect for yourself or as a gift for a friend, husband, father, or brother. Brenda will guide students step by step in making a leather, stainless steel, and Argentium silver bracelet. This streamlined class is designed to be welcoming for beginners while still engaging for those with some metalworking experience. All materials are provided.

Learn to mix ANY color with just a few base colors. Color theory concepts and terms will be de-mystified through discussion and hands on color mixing. We will explore how to develop color combinations for the effect that suits your own art process. This class will eliminate hesitation about how to use color in your work. All levels are welcome.

Join instructor John Plymak for a Saturday exploring the unique and versatile medium of alcohol markers, perfect for creating vivid, bold, graphic drawings. The class includes demonstrations and exercises on blending and shading, followed by open drawing time to create a finished piece with instructor guidance. A supply list will be provided.

Pottery is an exciting and mysterious craft, whether you imagine yourself on the potter’s wheel or creating hand built objects, we offer you everything you need to embark on a journey exploring the endless possibilities in ceramics. For beginners we will offer a range of assignments in the basics of hand building and a taste of throwing together with glaze demos. More experienced students will have the opportunity and guidance to improve skills and create both artistic and functional forms. The classroom is wheelchair accessible.

Instructor Julie Orndorff will introduce students to the basics of knitting, a calming and creative activity for both hands and mind. Participants will start with foundational techniques to create either a scarf or a small doll blanket, opening the door to future projects like hats, scarves, and full-size blankets. All materials are provided.

Young artists can explore their creativity through drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, crafts & more! Learn both indoors, outdoors on campus or exploring the river and trails, through books and wonderful art & nature experiences. Children must be fully bathroom independent. This is a drop off class. Stretch, wiggle, giggle your way through this fun yoga adventure! Each class blends breathing games, silly songs, playful poses, and a cozy relaxation time. After we move our bodies, we’ll get creative and make a special mindfulness craft inspired by our yoga theme, something kids can take home to keep the calm going! Perfect for curious movers and budding artists who love to play and create.

Give your pre-teen the tools to move, breathe, and reset. This class blends yoga poses, mindful breathing, and relaxation to help kids build strength, focus, and resilience. Each week includes interactive games that encourage teamwork and problem solving, followed by a creative yoga art activity where students create a mindfulness craft to bring home. It’s a fun hands-on way to support confidence, emotional regulation, and self expression.
