Summer camp is a unique venue for growth, independence, and self-confidence while socializing and making new friends while learning new skills. Let’s get inspired by Lake Erie’s natural charm to create unique works of art, experience sandy toes, sing-alongs, games and more!
Please make sure that your daughter is suited for this active 4-day camp, so that they can have the best experience. It is recommended that parents set up their account prior to registration date to ensure a successful transaction. Please register only your daughter. Girls cannot be moved to different accounts after their initial registration. Please provide an allergy-free lunch and drink each day.

A 3-day workshop that will walk you through how to create expressive portraits in oil paint. Working from life and photographs, this workshop will emphasize a fresh and loose approach to brushwork and painting while retaining a likeness, in contrast to painting that can become tight or overworked. There will be logical progression each session with the goal each day to produce one painting, working wet into wet, or Alla Prima. The instructor will demonstrate these principles each day and students will receive one-on-one help with their own painting throughout each session.

Start from scratch as you learn the fundamentals of wheel throwing. Beginner students will learn and practice basic wheel throwing techniques, centering the clay, opening the clay, and raising the wall. Decorating and glazing techniques will be explored. Returning students are welcome in this creative community.

Create a functional hand-built snack set perfect for sharing your favorite treats. In the first session, you’ll build a shallow serving bowl with a coordinating dip dish using simple hand building techniques.
We will skip a week to allow our pieces to dry.

Students will create a 3D landscape art tile by sculpting forms, adding texture using clay to build up-or subtract from the surface to create shadows. Engage in a tactile experience using stamps, tools or fingers to create patterns and visual interest. The finish when fired, will be using the underglaze stain method. Transform your yarn odds and ends into colorful baskets. You’ll learn how to blend colors and textures for unique storage pieces that are both practical and fun. We will also learn how to turn basic granny squares into fun blankets and garments. Learn to join as you go with new techniques and learn to embellish existing garments with freeform crochet or embroidery techniques.
**ALL LEVELS: this course is suitable for absolute beginners but will also be valuable to those who already have a crochet practice.

What do you get when you layer colorful, shaped layers of paper? A dimensional collage!
We’ll start with a basic sketch to determine the layers and shapes, moving onto create an assortment of painted papers. Once dry, you’ll draw the silhouettes of the shape and cut them out. We’ll use fine line, markers to add details to the layers before assembling them to create the final piece, which will be mounted on a mat board, ready to lean, hang or frame at home.
