Are you a mystery buff? An amateur sleuth wanting to try your hand at writing your own mystery? In this class, we’ll study literary techniques such as foreshadowing, building tension, creating character, and plot development. We’ll also look at specific tricks of the mystery genre, such as “red herrings”, hiding clues, creating a compelling protagonist, and delivering satisfying solutions. Finally, the students will put these skills to use by creating their very own mystery stories.
