These 3-hour, Spring mini workshops with Melissa Metzger are designed to be a creative escape in one sitting. Use familiar materials, but create in a new way, try your hand with a new media, or express your style in 3D form.

Inspired by the recent Picasso and Paper exhibit at Cleveland Museum of Art, come and try your hand at turning a painting into cutout shapes to display together as a table scape, or individually as mini sculptures.

Using acrylic paints and heavy weight paper, we will create a graphic scene with deliberate shapes. Once dry, we will discuss the importance of positive and negative spaces, cut out our main images and blur the lines between painting and sculpture.
