A show of work in all medium juried in for display. Our distinguished judges for this exhibition will be local artists, Susan Squires and Corrie Slawson.

Best of Show: Laura and Gary Dumm – Scream of the Butterflies (Acrylic)

1st Place: Phyllis K. Fannin – Still A Home, Still Standing Suite (Intaglio Engraving)

2nd Place: Mark Keffer – Synth-Love (Acrylic)

3rd Place: Judy Takács – Serenity Prayer: Acceptance (Oil)

Jury Award: Raheleh Mohammad – And the World is Like an Apple Whirling Silently in Space (Digital Collage, Archival Print)

Jury Award: Nicole Schneider – Simultaneous Occurrence (Mixed Media Monoprint)

Artistic Director’s Choice: John F. Scavnicky – Blue Scarf (Transparent Watercolor)

People’s Choice: Donna Kensel Bargar – Nest with Feathers (Graphite)

Additional juried artists: Yvonne M. Bakale, Cherie Kuhn Bauer, Chris Benavides, Edward Beyer, Robb Durr, Milan Kecman, Christie Klubnik, George Kocar, Allison Polgar, Dean Shaffer, Craig Stauffer, Dawn Tekler, Jim Vandenboom, Shari L. Wilkins

About the Judges:

Susan Squires received her BFA in fine art from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Squires travels extensively and these travels have inspired her work as an encaustic/mixed media artist. She describes her work as “quiet meditations” with psychological and spiritual implications.” Squires is currently represented by 1point618 gallery in Cleveland and has shown both here and internationally.

Corrie Slawson has exhibited both in the US and internationally. Her exhibition venues include the Toledo Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland. Slawson describes her work as “printed versions of pictures taken with drawn, painted, and cut out or collaged forms. My works fantasize alternative realities for places that were once considered magnificent but are now deserted or under appreciated.” Locally, Slawson is represented by SHAHEEN Modern and Contemporary in Cleveland.
