For students with little to no experience in the ceramic studio. Perhaps you have never taken a ceramics class, or you have but you want a refresher course. In this class we will learn the basics of wheel thrown and hand built ceramics, from wedging to glazing. Let us help you start on your clay journey! The classroom is wheelchair accessible.

A class for students at all skill levels. Whether you’re looking to perfect an already growing skillset, try working with clay for the first time, or unsure where you stand, this is the class for you. Join us as we all find new ways to approach and improve techniques in both hand built and wheel thrown ceramics. The classroom is wheelchair accessible.

Beginning students will learn the basics in hand building and get a taste of throwing pieces such as mugs, bowls and platters plus glaze demos. Intermediate to advanced students will have the opportunity to refine their skills and work on independent projects, instructors will give suggestions on form and style development. Individual projects will be given as needed based on level and skill. Select classes will offer a refresher on various methods of decorating and glazing. All students will receive one on one attention and consultation. The classroom is wheelchair accessible.

Join us for a fun 2-week workshop. The first week will focus on handbuilding techniques that will create unique and functional plates & platters. The second week will focus on painting & glazing your platters.

In this workshop you will create a beautiful decorative flower bowl perfect for the garden or a coffee table centerpiece. In the first class you will learn hand building techniques, slab and pinching to create your special bowl. In the second class you will paint and glaze your creation.

Students will put together compound earrings in this relaxed, evening class. Bren will guide you through creating your choice of 1, 2, or 3 tiered Argentium silver/copper earrings–whatever is the right amount of sparkle for you! Participants will learn metalsmithing techniques such as shaping, texturing, stamping, sanding, cupping and attaching parts. All material provided.
