Introduction to Installation Art

Creating large -scale, public, or other installation-based artwork can be intimidating, even for established visual artists who are looking to take their work off the easel. This class will look at some of the history and development of installation art and techniques, then will walk students through the ideation and design processes for creating their OWN installation artwork. Your instructor will also discuss opportunities and avenues for turning your designs and ideas into reality at local events, galleries, and public spaces. No artistic experience is necessary.
