Groovy Cuff & Pendant WORKSHOP

Eva Sherman. Groovy Cuff Pendant

with Eva Sherman

Make it today, wear it tonight! Mokume Gane is a traditional Japanese method for laminating various colors of metals together and manipulating them to create patterns that resemble wood or stone patterns. Polymer clay lends itself perfectly to this technique. Layers of clay are manipulated, inserted into a pre-made component, and sliced to reveal the pattern. Students will create 1 cuff and 1 pendant. All levels are welcome and no metal working experience is required.

Saturday 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

May 26 (1 day)

$60

*a $35 supply fee is due to the instructor at the workshop

Students are requested to wear closed toe shoes and tie long hair back at BAYarts jewelry workshops.

SUPPLY FEE: The supply fee for each class or workshop covers all of the required materials and use of the instructor’s tools. No need to bring anything with you.

Eva Sherman

Eva Sherman began beading as a way to spend time with her daughters but soon became hopelessly addicted. In 2005 she traded in her architectural career for the opportunity to spend all her time among beads, and opened Grand River Bead Studio in Cleveland, Ohio. Eva now happily spends most days in the studio creating, writing. She has discovered an affinity for working with wire and metals, and prefers to design in an organic and unstructured style. Currently, Eva is working on her second book on organic jewelry design and has been teaching metal jewelry classes at Bay Arts since 2013. Her website is evashermandesigns.blogspot.com.
