Beginning Watercolor

with Eric Dull

THURSDAYS 6:00-8:30 PM

JAN 11-MAR 1 (8 wks)

During this 8 week course, students will learn the basic steps, processes and techniques of watercolor painting. Students will study and learn how to see their subject(s) in terms of spatial relationships with the aim toward establishing an expressive and unified composition. The instructor will help students improve in their methods of paint application, color mixing and visual representation. The appropriate tools and materials and things to consider when setting up a proper work space will be discussed on the first day of class. For those students who have taken this course before; the instructor will continue to help you develop your painting skills and provide guidance in making appropriate choices in setting up subject matter.


*Registration begins on Tuesday, October 24 at 9 am. Register on or before October 31 and receive 10% off your class fee.



Eric Dull

Eric Dull grew up and currently lives in Grafton, Ohio. He is a 1997 graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art with a BFA in Illustration. He has worked as a illustrator, graphic and product designer as well as a production artist for a variety of Cleveland area companies. Working in such varied environments, he has become skilled in a wide range of mediums and techniques, both traditional and digital. In 2007 he began working his own projects with a concentration in his life long love of nature through realistic, detailed paintings and drawings. This has expanded to Broken Road Creative Studios, studio and gallery space in Grafton were he works and conducts classes and workshops.

Registration Fee & Cancellation Policies

Registration: Students are not registered until tuition is paid and all forms are completed. When registering for classes on paper, rather than online, a completed registration form and health release form must be completed.

Refunds: If a student is unable to attend a course and they inform BAYarts Registrar 7 days prior to the start of the class, a full refund or class credit will be given. If the Registrar is notified less than 7 days and more than 2 days before the start of class, a class credit will be given minus a processing fee. (Processing Fee = 25% of the tuition paid for class) No refund if notified less than 2 days before the start of class or workshop.

Missed Classes: Fees are NOT refunded or pro-rated for missed classes.
