Long-Pose Figure Drawing

with Peter Green

Intermediate to Advanced

Students will have the opportunity to study and draw from the live model in long, extended poses. The goal is to complete a realistic rendering with a high level of finish. This class is great for students who already have experience with gesture and shorter poses, and are ready to move on to a longer pose. It is also good for beginners who want to learn a solid foundation in the fundamentals of figure drawing. Topics covered will include gesture, proportion, anatomy, perspective, and rendering light and shadow on form. Peter Green received his MFA from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, and has since gone on to study classical figure drawing at Studio Escalier in France.

Peter is a representational artist who focuses mostly on the figure, still life and landscape, working in oil paints and traditional drawing media.
