High School Students with Jessica Ramage

This course is designed for teens looking to take their knowledge and skills in clay to the next level. Throughout this course, students will be introduced to various ceramic artists from various time periods and corners of the globe. These artists will be used as an influence for student work. With this, students will begin to understand core clay theory and art history, while honing hand-building, wheel-throwing and glazing techniques. Learn studio skills like making slip, mixing glazes, loading and unloading kilns and firing kilns. Students will participate in class critiques as they work together, discuss each other’s work and support one another’s growth.

*Registration begins on Tuesday, October 24 at 9 am. Register on or before October 31 and receive 10% off your class fee.

Jessica Ramage

Jessica Ramage is a professional photographer/ceramicist/artist/vampire living and working in Cleveland. She received her BFA in photography from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2003 and her MA in Art Education from Case Western University in 2004. She is currently the Ceramic Studio Assistant and a ceramics instructor at BAYarts. Jessica also owns her own business, Ramage Arts (ramagearts.com) where she specializes in child photography, invitations and party décor, murals and more. Her biggest achievements in life are her two adorable daughters and one very lucky husband.

Registration Fee & Cancellation Policies

Registration: Students are not registered until tuition is paid and all forms are completed. When registering for classes on paper, rather than online, a completed registration form and health release form must be completed.

Refunds: If a student is unable to attend a course and they inform BAYarts Registrar 7 days prior to the start of the class, a full refund or class credit will be given. If the Registrar is notified less than 7 days and more than 2 days before the start of class, a class credit will be given minus a processing fee. (Processing Fee = 25% of the tuition paid for class) No refund if notified less than 2 days before the start of class or workshop.

Missed Classes: Fees are NOT refunded or pro-rated for missed classes.
